Easy Protein Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown rice

  • 1 1/2 cups water

  • 1 tablespoon cricket powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon butter or olive oil (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan bring water to boil.

  2. Add cricket powder and stir it.

  3. Add salt and butter or olive oil, if desired.

  4. Stir in rice.

  5. Cover with lid and reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and let stand (covered) for 5 minutes.

  7. Fluff with a fork and serve.

  8. Make it a full meal by adding any veggie and drizzle your preferred sauce. Enjoy!
